Review @danamariebell - Finding Forgiveness by Dana Marie Bell (Poconos Pack #1)

Finding Forgiveness
Poconos Pack #1
by Dana Marie Bell

Goodreads blurb:  To forgive is divine if he can pin his lover down long enough to beg for it.

"Poconos Pack, Book 1"

Ben Malone s role as Marshall attunes him to every nuance of the pack's well being which means he s forced to feel every one of his mate s hangovers. It s the one reason Ben will never claim Dave Maldonado. Being alone is better than being with someone who lives in a bottle.

Dave was destined to be a pack Alpha until his first migraine hit at age fifteen, the day he caught his future mate holding hands with another boy. In the nine agonizing years since, he s contented himself as Beta, but never learned to live with the pain and confusion of Ben s rejection.

Dave s worst attack yet sends him to the hospital and brings them both face to face with the misunderstanding that s kept them apart all these years. It s too late, though. Dave is headed for Gay Pride Week at Disney World with one goal in mind. "Forget Ben Malone."

Ben s got a problem with that. Only one man is destined to hold "his" David. And he'll give anything, even his last shred of pride, to win forgiveness and the right to finally claim his mate.

Warning: This book contains explicit sex, graphic language, and male/male love scenes between two top dogs. Who knew Rock Paper Scissors could be such fun?

About the Author:  Dana Marie Bell wrote her first short story when she was thirteen years old. She attended the High School for Creative and Performing Arts for creative writing, where freedom of expression was the order of the day. When her parents moved out of the city and placed her in a Catholic high school for her senior year she tried desperately to get away, but the nuns held fast, and she graduated with honors despite herself.

Dana has lived primarily in the Northeast (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, to be precise), with a brief stint on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix. She lives with her soul-mate and husband Dusty, their two maniacal children, an evil ice-cream stealing cat and a bull terrier that thinks it’s a Pekinese.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  I bought this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I own the whole set!

The cover is awesome!!  Love it!!

This is the first book in this series which is a spin-off of Halle Pumas!  This book is for adults only due to the steamy content.  If you have a problem reading M/M content, this may not be the book for you.  I do not read much of this, but I cannot read Ben and Dave’s story after I got to know them in Halle Pumas.

Ben and Dave’s story is a lot of miscommunication and jumping to wrong conclusions by both of them.  If you want some of the details, read the blurb, but I do not want to ruin the story for those who are going to read it.  It is amazing how dense some men are, but they do get their acts together.  They are great together!  I can’t wait to read more of the Pack’s stories.

Dana is now an addition to my favorite author list where I know I can go to read something that I will enjoy and has my favorite kind of ending a HEA!!  I can’t wait to read the next one!

I highly recommend to anyone who loves the Halle Pumas or Halle Shifters because the Pack is just as awesome!

Review @ZoeChantebooks - Lion's Betrayal by Zoe Chant (Shifter Suspense #2)

Lion’s Betrayal
Shifter Suspense #2
by Zoe Chant

Goodreads blurb:  A billionaire lion shifter fighting to fill the hole in his heart + a curvy reporter on an undercover assignment + an island paradise where all is not as it seems = one dangerously hot romance.

Curvy Chloe Kent worked her ass off to get a housekeeping job on Harper Island. The island is practically paradise: white beaches, blue skies, luxury facilities… and it’s all a lie. Just like her. She’s not a cleaner desperate for work; she’s a reporter, hot on the trail of the scoop of a lifetime. But what she finds on the island is beyond anything she ever imagined.

Billionaire lion shifter Mathis Delacourt has everything any man could want. But there’s something missing: an emptiness inside him that nothing can fill. He’s left his old life behind, pretending to be a down-on-his-luck bruiser. Fighting, adrenaline—it fills the hole for a while, but leaves him feeling emptier than before. When a mysterious benefactor invites him to his private fight club on a remote island, Mathis jumps at the chance to fight other shifters. Is this the challenge he’s been looking for?

Chloe and Mathis don’t find what they’re looking for on the island, but they do find each other… just in time for the trap to close.

The island’s owner lures shifters to his private resort so he can force them to fight for his entertainment. And he never lets anyone leave.

Chloe is everything Mathis was searching for, and the island’s owner knows it. Can their love survive, when it’s used as a weapon to control them?

Lion’s Betrayal is an edge-of-your-seat lion shifter romance. No cliffhangers!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, and no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I have bought this book because I loved it, and I own most of Zoe’s books!

The cover is another beautiful one!  My favorite kind with both stunning beasts on the cover!

This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence! While you don’t need to read them in order, it is much better if you do!  And you really do NOT want to miss either book.

Chloe has always had a soft spot for animals, and she fights for what she believes in!  She is full of spirit, and I loved her!  Mathis is drifting through his life, and he is not sure what he needs!  There is tons of action on this paradise that is much more than it seems.

Awesome read!  Zoe Chant always has the perfect mix of action, romance, and shiftery goodness that she is a go to author when I need to know I’ll love the book!  Her HEAs are always perfect for me!

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who love HEA endings especially if you love Zoe’s style writing and affordability!  I buy most of her books!  Can’t wait to see what’s next!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is definitely eye catching and what drew me in!

This is the 2nd book in the series, but it is the first book I’ve read by this author.  It is for adults only due to the steamy content.  Obviously, you can read them out of order because I did!

I did not know how much I would love this book when I started reading it!  Hailey is an awesome character especially when Ryder gets her back to herself.  I love her sarcasm and snark!  Ryder is something else!  I love how he gravitates to make people happy!  I wish there was more people like this in the world!  These two together sizzle!  Of course, Hailey’s ex is an idiot!  Hailey is a saint for all she must endure at work!  Ryder, I really want to hug him for everything in his past, his love, and his kindness!

Sophie did a fantastic job in her writing because she pulled me in, and it didn’t let up!  I love the humor she put into her book, and the emotional rollercoaster she took me on because yes I cried at sweet moments and heart wrenching ones.  I can’t wait to check out more of her work especially the first book in this series when I can get it!

I highly recommend to all paranormal fans who love magically romance that ends in a HEA!!!  I can’t wait to read more of this series!

Review @katiereus - Falling For His Mate by Savannah Stuart (Crescent Moon #6)

Falling For His Mate
Crescent Moon #6
by Savannah Stuart

Goodreads blurb:  He screwed up.

Second in command of the O’Shea wolf pack, Andrew Reid screwed up and let Charlotte walk away from him. Now that he’s come to his senses, he’s determined to win her back, no matter how much he has to grovel. Because she’s a woman worth fighting for.

She’s not willing to trust him again.

Charlie thought Andrew was different from other males, that what they shared was real—that their connection was the rare mating pull. But a true mate wouldn’t have ghosted on her the way he did. So no matter what he wants, she’s not playing his games. To capture her heart for good, he’ll have to prove he’s worthy of a second chance. Even if that means he has to give up everything, including his pack.

Length: NOVELLA

About the Author:  This is a pen name for Katie Reus

Author Savannah Stuart has been reading romance for as long as she can remember. Her stories often have a touch of intrigue, suspense, or the paranormal, but the one thing she always includes is a happy ending. She currently lives in the South within walking distance of the beach with her very own real life hero. In addition to writing (and reading of course!) she loves traveling with her husband.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is okay, but I like my shifter books to have the animals on the cover too!!

This is the 6th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.  It is not necessary to read them in order, but I suspect you would love them more if you did!  In the future, I plan to get the books I haven’t read yet to see if I’m correct!  It is novella length and about 145 pages.

This is Andrew and Charlie’s story!  Andrew made some bonehead mistakes because of fear and now he must atone to get his mate.  I really like both of them.  They both work hard, and they are better together.  They just have to realize it.  There is a little bit of action with some vampires, but mostly it is the two of them trying to get their stuff together.

I enjoy Savannah’s writing!  She pulled me right into the story, and I didn’t want to put it down.  Actually, I stayed up way too late finishing it last night, but it was worth it.

I recommend to any wolf shifter fan especially if you love Savannah Stuart and Katie Reus’s work already!!

Review @lilithsaintcrow - Hunter, Healer by Lilith Saintcrow (Society #2)

Hunter, Healer
Society #2
by Lilith Saintcrow

Goodreads blurb:  The black-ops government agency known as Sigma has shattered the resistance, destroyed its infrastructure, and taken its best operative captive. It's about as bad as it can get, but Sigma's forgotten one thing. Rowan Price.

Rowan is no longer a civilian in the shadow war. Her talents are almost fully trained, and she's become something she never dreamed of—a cool, clinical, lethal psionic operative. Working as Henderson's second-in-command, she's utterly focused on two things: repairing the Society's infrastructure and rescuing Justin Delgado. Yet under her shell of calm and gentleness, her rage is simmering… and it's about to break loose.

Delgado knows he can't remember something important. He puts up with Sigma’s beatings and questioning, the pain and the torture. Sigma keeps asking him the same question—where is Rowan Price? He doesn't know who Price is or where she is, but if he can escape Sigma one more time, he's damn sure going to find out. Because Price, whoever she is, holds the key to his fractured memories and destroyed soul.

The only problem for him is getting out, and Justin Delgado is very good at solving problems. Once he's out, nothing in the world is going to stop him from pursuing Rowan Price. But that may be the one thing Sigma's counting on.

About the Author:  Lilith Saintcrow was born in New Mexico, bounced around the world as an Air Force brat, and fell in love with writing when she was ten years old. She lives in Vancouver, Washington, in a house full of stray cats and children.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is very nice with that washboard!

This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence.  This is my first time reading Lilith’s work, and I definitely liked it!  I haven’t read book 1 yet, but I had no trouble with picking up this book and understanding what was going on.

This is definitely an interesting world!  Some people are gifted with psychic abilities, and a government agency is using and enslaving those with abilities through nefarious means.  Whenever you have people being exploited, there are people who rise up to fight for those who are being exploited.  Rowan is part of the group fighting the good fight.  I really like her because she has inner strength that is amazing considering all of the things that have happened to her.  Justin or Del is amazing, and he doesn’t even realize it.  Together they make a great pair, but they bad guys are trying to get them both!  This is an action packed adventure!

I recommend this book to all readers who believe in psychic powers and fighting for what you believe in because it is an awesome adventure!  Can’t wait to check out more of Lilith’s work in the future!

Review @danamariebell - Only In My Dreams by Dana Marie Bell (Halle Pumas #5)

Only In My Dreams
Halle Pumas #5
by Dana Marie Bell

Goodreads blurb:  There is no denying your mate.
Halle Pumas Book 5

Gabriel Anderson has accepted a unique position in the shifter world. He’s about to become a Hunter, one of the few trained and sanctioned to hunt down the rare rogue shifter dangerous to humans and shifters alike. But there’s one catch: the man who recruits him tells him to hold off on marking his mate until after his training. Gabe agrees, unaware that his decision could cost him more than he ever dreamed possible.

Sarah is devastated by Gabe’s seeming desertion. His friendship with another woman threatens the bond that could have been built between them. In a bid to win her mate’s heart Sarah decides to flirt with another man, something the possessive Gabe can’t handle. When Gabe finds out that the erotic dreams of dominating his mate have a basis in reality he loses no time in attempting to claim what is his.
If he can’t, the only place he’ll ever have her is in his dreams…

The cover is not my style, and it definitely doesn’t let you know it is a shifter read.

This is the 5th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.  While it isn’t mandatory to read in order, I highly recommend it because it makes it so much better!

This is Gabe and Sarah’s story!  I loved the book, but there isn’t much action in this book.  It is more about drama and misreading situations on both of their parts.  It all starts with Gabe leaving for Hunter training!  There is also an awesome part at the end that if you have been reading the series, you want to read about, but I’m not spoiling it by telling you what happens.

I love Dana’s writing style!  She gets the right amount of humor, snark, chaos, and romance to make it perfect!

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who loves humor, romance, and HEAs!  Can’t wait to read more of Dana’s work!

Review @JRhoadesAuthor - Shifter's Magic by Jacqueline Rhoades (The Wolvers #8)

Shifter’s Magic
The Wolvers #8
by Jacqueline Rhoades

Goodreads Blurb:  Magic is found in the heart...

For Olivia Dawson, there's nothing magic about the holidays. They're only a convenient excuse to return home to her wolver pack where she can lick her wounds before she moves on. She won't have to admit the truth. She won't have to ask for the forgiveness she doesn't deserve. She's made so many mistakes, but the worst was leaving the wolver who shared her heart. That's a mistake that can't be fixed. Love lost can never be reclaimed.

As far as Brad Seaward is concerned, Livvy Dawson can't move on soon enough. It doesn't matter if his wolf comes alive at the sight of her. Once burned, twice shy is Brad's motto and that hot little wolver burned his dreams to ash. Sure, he always knew it would end that way, but knowing didn't take away the pain. So why take a second chance when the outcome will be the same?

But this is Gilead, a place with a magic all its own, where hearts are warm, secrets are hard to keep, and pack comes first. There's shifter magic in the air as the Alpha's Mate enlists the help of those around her to bring these two lovers back together – with a bonus for the pack.

About the Author:  Jacqueline, known as Jackie to her friends, lives in rural southern Ohio with one lovable husband, one spoiled dog and one disinterested cat. She believes coffee is a food group and therefore necessary to survival. She always has a pot brewing. When not writing, she can usually be found with her nose in someone else's book or working in her garden. She also spends a great deal of time chasing deer and rabbits who apparently also like gardening.  Jackie loves hearing from her readers and is always willing to chat.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I will definitely add this to my collection when I can in the future!!

This is the 8th book in the series!  It is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence.  It isn’t mandatory to read this series in order, but I think it makes it much better if you do read them in order because you know the world and other characters better.

This is Brad and Livvy’s story, and of course you see Jazz and Griz (Doc) because they are the Alpha and Mate in Gilead.  Both Livvy and Brad have baggage they are carrying around and not talking to each other about.  There is plenty of misunderstandings and trouble.  I couldn’t put the book down because I love the Wolver world.  You also learn why females have to be taken over the moon by the Alpha which is pretty interesting.  All of Livvy’s family is awesome and there is humor galore in Gilead!  I love how Jazz handles things.  She is awesome as always.

Jacqueline always has a great mix of humor and action in each of her Wolver books.  I can’t wait to see who’s story is next!!

I highly recommend to any wolf shifter fan especially if you already love the Wolver world!!  I can’t wait to read the next one!!

Review @danamariebell - Steel Beauty by Dana Marie Bell (Halle Pumas #4)

Steel Beauty
Halle Pumas #4
by Dana Marie Bell

Goodreads blurb:  She's everything a big bad wolf could want.

Coping with a devastating injury is hard enough for Belinda--Belle--Campbell. Forced separation from her destined mate while she heals is almost more than she can endure. Until she is strong enough to take up her duties as Luna of the Poconos Wolf Pack, however, the safest place for her is Halle. Now, after months of being alone, she is more than ready to be claimed. But is the pack ready for a Puma Luna?

Rick Lowell has waited long enough to bring Belle home where she belongs. He's aware of the danger, as well--and it isn't long before a bitch with an eye on Belle's position issues a challenge. The only way to put down the threat is for Belle to defeat the usurper in combat.

There's only one problem. Thanks to the pins in her broken hip, Belle can't shift. Without that tactical advantage, it won't be a fair fight. With his new mate's life on the line, Rick is forced to make a decision that will change everything.

That is, if Belle gives him the chance to make it.

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic language, lots of doggie (or is that kitty?) style and some songs Rick will never want to hear again. Ever.

This is the 4th book in the series, and it is about 84 pages long.  It is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence.  I highly recommend reading the series in order because it makes it so much better!!

This is Belle and Rick’s story of how the Alpha chooses a puma for his Luna!  I really like Belle, and she definitely had a hard time after all the trouble Livia caused.  She is a devoted friend to those she counts as her friends now.  She is still recovering from being hit by a car in the last book.  She definitely has her work cut out for her in her new pack!  Rick is struggling with some trouble in his pack.  He is trying to protect his Luna, but he makes some mistakes along the way!  Their story is packed with excitement!  I loved it!

I highly recommend to all shifter lovers who love a great story with a HEA!!!
