My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I bought this book like I have the whole series!

This is the 4th book in the series, and it is another novella length of about 50 pages.  I highly recommend reading all of the books in this series in order because you will want the whole story.

I really love this series because it brings up real issues and the people it affects.  I love how this family always sticks together and works to overcome anything that comes their way together with love and support.  I especially love that it extends to their community too.  I think the world would be a better place if everyone worked hard together especially with regard to being kind and supporting others.  The love and lessons contained in these stories is what make them epic.  There are all sorts of surprises packed into the 50 pages.  I love reading about this family and community and hope we will see all of these characters again.

I highly recommend to any shifter fans who love and support people of all backgrounds because our diversity and uniqueness is what makes this world grand!

Review @donna_grant - Dragonfire by Donna Grant (Dark Kings #14)

Dragonfire
Dark Kings #14
by Donna Grant

Goodreads blurb:  Passion burns hot in Dragonfire, the next Dark Kings novel from New York Times bestseller Donna Grant.

It was a soul-deep longing, one that got into his bones and settled there, sending whispers of desire through him. The need, the hunger, grew tenfold with every breath. . . .

As a Dragon King, Roman is sworn to protect all mortals--even though they no longer believe in dragons. But deep in the Carpathian Mountains, he discovers a beautiful and mysterious gypsy who possesses the power to see into his very soul. To reignite the fire in his heart. And to help him find the long-lost sword that could save the dragons forever...

Sabina remembers the stories her grandmother told her. Legends of dragons and kings, fire and ice. And she's never forgotten the dark prophecy that filled her ancestors with fear--a fate they tried to prevent by stealing a Dragon King's sword. Sabina knows that helping Roman is dangerous. He is a dragon betrayed, and more powerful than any man. He could destroy her in a single fiery embrace. But how can she resist the longing in his eyes--or the feelings in her heart--when their destinies are bound by desire?

About the Author:  Donna Grant is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the sizzling Dark King series featuring dragons, immortal Highlanders, and the Fae.

She was born and raised in Texas but loves to travel. Her adventures have taken her throughout the United States as well as to Jamaica, Mexico, and Scotland. Growing up on the Texas/Louisiana border, Donna’s Cajun side of the family taught her the “spicy” side of life while her Texas roots gave her two-steppin’ and bareback riding.

Despite deadlines and voracious reading, Donna still manages to keep up with her two children, three cats, and a dog.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I think I want to collect this series in paperback!!

The cover has a beautiful light blue dragon.

This is the 14th book in the series.  I wish I have read them all, but this is the 3rd one I’ve read.  It is for adults only due to the steamy content.

All of my favorite characters were in this book, and some new ones were added.  Rhi and Eilish are awesome women.  They are snarky and awesome.  Sabina is just as awesome.  There is mystery and adventure about the Others in this book that adds to the ever growing questions and what the Kings have to deal with.  Sabina and Roman and put through the paces, and Sabina’s brother is sweet and has some amazing gifts.  Roman and V are trying to find V’s sword, and they found some help with Sabina and her brother.  As always with the Kings, there is a lot going on which keeps you engaged in their story.  Sabina and Roman are going through a lot trying to get through the obstacles put in place by the Others.

Donna Grant does a fabulous job to engaging you in the mystery and adventure to find V’s sword.  I love that gypsies are part of the story, and they have gifts that they are using to help the Kings.  She does a fantastic job with the dramatic parts where Sabina is involved.

I highly recommend any of the Dark Kings books because they have adventure, shifters, romance, fae, Druids, and so much more!

Review @TJShawAuthor - Alpha Dragon Awakes, Part Three by T.J. Shaw (Outside the Veil #3)

Alpha Dragon Awakes
Outside the Veil #3
by T.J. Shaw

Goodreads blurb:  Part three and the exciting conclusion to the epic fantasy romance serial trilogy, Rogue Dragon Rising, marking the beginning of the Outside the Veil series.

With no memories to guide her, Amari Hawke seeks to discover the identity of the animal trapped inside her. Days away from Trinity, when her beast will appear for the first time, she must learn to communicate with her animal or she’ll turn rogue from an unsuccessful shift.

Both Jaxon Blackthorn and his stubborn dragon have succumbed to Amari’s charms even though her animal designation is unknown. Determined to use the power of his beast, Jaxon faces the impossible challenge of saving Amari while protecting her from rogue shifters determined to capture her.

Can the strength of their love achieve what has never been attempted in the shifter realm, a successful transition of Amari’s animal and acceptance of her true heritage?

About the Author:  As a child, TJ thrived in the Arizona desert. By the age of five she was riding horses through cotton fields and by eleven bought her first motorcycle, a Honda 125cc dirt bike. Growing up with teachers as parents meant traveling during the summer. Hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, climbing pyramids, surviving earthquakes, and flying in hot air balloons were just some of her adventures. An avid day dreamer, she would lose herself in mystical worlds and far off places limited only by her imagination. After choosing an academic scholarship over an athletic basketball scholarship, she graduated law school and accepted a position as a Deputy County Attorney. However, prosecuting felony crimes was not as exciting as she hoped, so she traded in her briefcase and the courtroom for a Glock and patrol car. She worked the road as a police officer for five years and now tells officers what to do as a policy writer for a police department. TJ writes from her heart by incorporating her dreams and experiences to create strong, passionate characters who must overcome personal flaws to survive against the challenges of traversing through magical realms, undiscovered planets, and apocalyptic catastrophes.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I do plan to collect this set when it is in one set.

The cover is beautiful and awesome is every detail!

This is the 3rd part of this story, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.  It is a must for you to read the parts in order because the three parts are all part of the same story.

I loved every second of this whole story.  There is so much going on, passion, romance, mystery, treachery, and more.  I love both Amari, Jaxon, and their families.  This is a unique world that pulls you in; you will want more each time because I know I do.  I especially love their HEA, and I suspect there will be a lot more in the future about their nest and the Hawke nest.  I’m excited to see what comes next.

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who wants something new, unique, and amazing!!

Review @Abbie_Roads - Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads (Fatal Dreams #3)

Never Let Me Fall
Fatal Dreams #3
by Abbie Roads

Goodreads blurb:  Seeing is believing...

Thomas Brown can't see color, but he can see people's true souls. His abilities allow him to work with criminal investigators and deliver justice to families of the wronged. And he's starting to accept that his life will forever be in black and white...

Then he encounters Helena Grayse, and everything changes. She brings vibrant color to his world, and he brings acceptance and belief to hers. But Helena's past is quickly catching up with her, and Thomas is in the crosshairs.

As an enemy hidden in plain sight threatens their every move, they'll have to rely on their love to beat the darkness.

About the Author:  Abbie Roads loves Snickers Parfaits and acrylic pour painting. It’s her new obsession. The pour painting. Not the parfaits. Though the parfaits would qualify as an obsession too. She spends her days a mental health counselor always looking on the brightside, but at night she likes to write dark and dangerous things—with kissing and sexy times. She loves reading inspirational quotes and stories about serial killers. She is married to her favorite fellow and they have two cranky old rescue dogs that are not spoiled. Not at all. Okay. Maybe a little. Alright, the dogs are terribly spoiled, but they do give lots of cuddles and kisses in return.

Her first book RACE THE DARKNESS was a Publishers Weekly Top 10 Pick for Fall.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I haven’t bought the book yet, but it is definitely on my list to buy when I can.  I own all the other books already.

The cover is steamy!

This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.  I recommend reading the whole series in order to better understand the world and history of the series.  There is some M/M scenes in this book.

Abbie does a fantastic job pulling you into the world and story.  I love her complex world with a paranormal twist.  She adds psychological issues that you don’t even think about until you read it.

This is Thomas’ story who is Evanee’s brother.  He has a gift that he uses working for the BCI is a black and white world.  Until he meets Helen, and she brings color back to his life.  They both have histories that bring baggage to their lives, but they bring each other through it together.  This is another action-packed story where you aren’t sure where it is going next, and I loved every minute of it!

I highly recommend to anyone who love paranormal crime books because this one rocks, and you won’t be disappointed!

Review @vdanann @TGabelman - LOBOS: Big Bend Wolves by Victoria Danann & Teresa Gabelman

LOBOS:
Big Bend Wolves
by Victoria Danann & Teresa Gabelman

Goodreads blurb:  Sometimes running away takes you straight to the thing you're running from.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors, Victoria Danann and Teresa Gabelman, team up to create a sigh-worthy wolf shifter romance that will leave you satisfied in the dreamiest way.

The Three Rivers Pack has been deeply embedded in Kerrville commerce and society for generations. They own businesses and hold government offices, including that of sheriff. But the influx of retirees and well-to-do building second homes in the Hill Country has squeezed the shifters for room to run.

The only answer is relocation to a less populated locale and that will require making a deal with the pack that holds that territory. The alliance struck by the two alphas is blood seal, a political mating between the Lobos alpha's daughter and the Three Rivers alpha's son. It's the perfect solution that benefits both tribes.

Except nobody asked Fleet Ryder and Dani Alvarez if they were willing. And they aren't.

Set against the stark, but breathtakingly remote and beautiful Big Bend region of Texas.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is my favorite kind with both beasts on the cover.  Very nice!!!

This is the first time I’m reading both authors which is silly because I own almost 20 books between the two of them.  This is the first book in what I hope will be a series.  It is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.

This was a great read from the start.  Through the arranged mating, there is all sorts of new things learned, drama, excitement, romance, and some craziness.  I really liked how Dani and Fleet handled things.  It also didn’t hurt that it ended with them being happy.  I’m hoping maybe we will get stories about their friends and the pack joining together.

I really liked the writing because it pulled you into the story.  It is writing from both Dani and Fleet’s perspective switching back and forth, and I only mention it because some people don’t like that.  I can’t wait to read more from both authors.

I highly recommend to any wolf shifter fan who loves mates and the story of how they came to be!

Day Care Dragon
Bodyguard Shifters #4

... were not the first words Loretta expected to say to the love of her life. Look, you try having a dragon snatch you out of a burning building when all you're wearing is a towel.

But stubborn, outspoken, redheaded Loretta and the rowdy preschoolers at her day care are about to turn his well-ordered life upside down. The fire at Loretta's apartment was no accident, and the closer he keeps her, the safer she'll be. But Loretta's not about to let anyone treat her like a treasure to be locked up for safekeeping.

This is the 4th book in this series.  I highly recommend reading them all, and if you don’t like past events being mentioned when you don’t know what they are talking about, you should read them in order.  I love when the characters I love are back in the another book.  This is for adults only due to the steamy content and battles.

This book was action-packed, humorous, and just awesome.  My favorite line is when Darius asks why everyone keeps asking him that, but you have to read it to see what I mean.  So much fun to read, and it was packed with all sorts of drama, intrigue, and back story that you fall in love with Darius and let go of past impressions of him being a jerk to Ben.

I highly recommend to any fans of Zoe’s work especially if you love this series or shifters in general.  It was fantastic, and I can’t wait for more!
