Review @JaneGodman - Ice Wolf by Jane Godman (Arctic Brotherhood #1)

Ice Wolf
Arctic Brotherhood #1
by Jane Godman

Goodreads blurb:  They are the Arctic Brotherhood.

They are deadly fighters, fierce protectors and loyal mates.

Elliott Wilder is a mild mannered Alaskan college professor. Wilder craves the things most people find boring. Seclusion. Monotony. Anonymity. But what Wilder craves most of all is the thing he can’t have… memory loss. Four hundred years ago, Wilder and the other members of the Arctic Brotherhood were captured and tortured by the leader of the Siberian werewolves. Wilder is still haunted by memories of that night, when he wasn’t able to protect his leader.

Now the Siberian wolf is on the loose and seeking revenge. Not only must Wilder lead the brotherhood, he must fight the attraction he feels toward its newest recruit, Jenny Piper. Jenny offers Wilder a glimpse of the life he can’t have. As the brotherhood races against time to save humanity from the horror their enemies unleashed on the world, Wilder must reach inside himself to find the leader the brotherhood needs and the mate Jenny craves.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  I bought this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I have already bought the next book too!

The cover is great because it is my favorite style having both beasts on the cover!

This is the first book in the series, and also my first time reading Jane’s work!  This is for adults only due to the steamy content.

I love this new world and how it is tied to Norse mythology!  Jane does a fantastic job building her world and pulling you in.  I really enjoyed reading, and I sometimes have problems with the first book in a series where it is slow because of world building but not a problem in this book.

Jenny is an awesome lead.  She has a tragic past, but she doesn’t let it define her.  She is strong and pretty amazing.  Wilder has issues too, but it is related to PTSD.  He has made himself a hermit of sorts.  These two together are sizzling, and it is an action packed story!  I couldn’t put it down.

I recommend this book to shifter fans especially if you like Norse mythology!  I can’t wait to see what comes next!!
