Spell Fire
The Teen Wytche Saga #3
By Ariella Moon
Author Ariella Moon
Ariella Moon writes about magic, friendship, secrets, and love in her Young Adult novels, Spell Check, Spell Struck, and Spell Fire, Books 1, 2, & 3 in The Teen Wytche Saga. Ariella spent her childhood searching for a magical wardrobe that would transport her to Narnia. Extreme math anxiety, and taller students who mistook her for a leaning post, marred Ariella’s teen years. Despite these horrors, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Davis. An author and shaman, she now lives a nearly normal life with her extraordinary daughter, shamelessly spoiled dog, and an enormous dragon.
Does obsessive hand washing and dragon melding count?" Just amazing accuracy with throwing stars."
Thor blinked and his head jerked. "Get out of here! Aren't they illegal?"
"Sort of." My stomach grew queasy at the thought of doing a year in prison.
"I'm shocked." Thor massaged a spot behind and below his left ear.
One. Two. Three. Four. His outdoorsy tan had retreated behind an ashen pallor and sweat droplets glistened along his hairline. My worry meter cranked on. The throwing stars shocked him? How would he feel about my stint in the lockdown ward?
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5
Unicorns - I loved it!!!

Okay
the cover definitely attracts me because it is looks magically and has a dragon….very
beautifully done.
When
I started this book, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because Ainslie didn’t
seem like she was going to be a character I was going to love. She was afraid of everything, and she was
throwing a fit in the beginning.
However, she came into her own and showed a kind heart & persevered
in helping her family & new friends. I loved watching her personality grow and
seeing all her strengths come alive.
I
think Ainslie’s aunt and uncle are a hoot, and I think it would be cool to
visit their store. Jett, his sister, and
Thor are great characters too. I would
love to live in the world that Ariella creates.
I
think the author does a great job of showing how OCD affects a teenager, and it
might help others to be more tolerant and learn about how OCD works and affects
a person who has it.
This
is definitely a series I’m going to read in its entirety. I am going to get book 1 & 2 soon, so I
can read them, but I really can’t wait to read book 4 when it comes out :)
I
highly recommend this book to all who love a good adventure with some morals
and life lessons mixed in with their magic & dragons.
