Review @Month9Books - Call Me Grim by Elizabeth Holloway @eholloway300 (Call Me Grim #1)

Call Me Grim
Call Me Grim #1
by Elizabeth Holloway

Goodreads blurb:  The truck should have turned Libbi Piper into a Libbi Pancake—and it would have, too, if Aaron hadn't shown up and saved her life. The problem? Aaron's the local Grim Reaper . . . and he only saved Libbi's life because he needs someone to take over his job. Now, Libbi has two days to choose between dying like she was supposed to, or living a lonely life as Death Incarnate. Talk about a rock and a hard place. And the choice goes from hard to sucktastic when her best friend shows up marked: condemned as a future murderer. Libbi could have an extra week to stop the murder and fix the mark . . . but only if she accepts Aaron's job as Reaper, trapping herself in her crappy town forever, invisible and inaudible to everyone except the newly dead. But, if she refuses? Her best friend is headed straight for Hell.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!

***Received the ebook from Month9Books for an honest review

The cover is pretty especially her green eyes, and I like the soul glow effect on the title :)

Okay when I started reading the book, it was a little slow.  This changed, and it was kind of mysterious with all the intrigues and things Libbi was trying to figure out and fix.  Of course, I won’t go into detail because that would spoil your adventure, but Libbi is an awesome teen lead in the story.

Aaron is mysterious, and you aren’t sure what to make of him until the end of the book :)  Of course, there is all sorts of drama and action going on to keep your attention especially the last half of the book.

This is the first book in the series, and while there is an ending, it also leaves you hanging and wanting book 2 like now.  This is a great start to a new series, and I didn’t realize until the end how much I liked it and can’t wait to read more.  Elizabeth does a great job with details where you can imagine the story in your head while reading.  This would be a great book to add to my classroom library when I can afford to :)

I recommend this series to YA fans who want a Grim Reaper story that is new and has all sorts of things going on in the story :)

Interested in reading???
