About the Author:  Christine Amsden has been writing science fiction and fantasy for as long as she can remember. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone.

Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children, Drake and Celeste.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!

Okay first things first, Christine is a sweetie and gifted this super early ARC because I loved book 1! YAY!!! (insert girly squeal here)  This book was no different because I absolutely loved it!  There is only one thing that I didn’t like and that is the cliffhanger ending, but it was the logical place to stop (so stop hating before you start)!  You learn all sorts of things about the Cassie’s family and Evan’s family even some things they wouldn’t like people to know.  Christine’s writing style makes it easy to connect with the characters, and she has a knack for telling a story but making sure it is not predictable.  I had no idea things were going to happen the way they did until I read it, and I’m usually pretty good at predicting what’s going to happen.

I highly recommend this series to everyone who would love a paranormal mystery.  The only thing that is really sad is that I have to wait an extremely long time for the next book since this was a super early ARC.  I definitely will continue reading this series!!  LOVE IT!!!

You can see my thoughts on book 1 here.
