Audiobook Review @IAmNumber4Fans - I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore (Lorien Legacies #1)

I Am Number Four
Lorien Legacies #1
by Pittacus Lore

Goodreads blurb:  Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books--but we are real.

Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in. We have lived among you without you knowing.

But they know.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.

I am Number Four.

I am next.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***Borrowed the Playaway from the local library

The cover will lead you to believe that there is nothing exciting about this book, but it is completely not true :)

My son’s English teacher recommended this series to him for his AR book.  This is a YA series, and this is the first book in the series.  Since my son really struggles in reading with dyslexia, we listen to it together in the car to and from school.  He loved listening to it as did I.  This is our first time with this author and narrator.  It was easy to be pulled into John’s story.  There is tons of action and mystery mixed in as you learn about the Loriens, Mogs, and the events that have led to John being on Earth.  My son demanded we go to the library the minute we finished this book because he wanted to start on the next one immediately.

I highly recommend this series to adventure lovers especially if they are YA level reluctant readers.
