Serial Review - Claimed by the Alphas: Part Five by Viola Rivard @ViolaRivard (Claimed #5)

Claimed by the Alphas:  Part Five
Claimed #5
by Viola Rivard

Goodreads blurb:  Making up isn’t easy, but with two weeks alone and the days growing colder, Mila and Caim aren’t about to sleep apart. Alone time with Caim is better than she could have anticipated, but emotions are running high between her and his 'favorites'.

Caim enacts his vengeance on the cat that accosted his mate, inadvertently jeopardizing the welfare of his pack.

Claimed by the Alphas: Part Five is 17,500 words of werewolf/BBW romance. It is the fifth entry in the Claimed series, chronicling Mila Foster's efforts to hold her new pack together by accepting the claim of both of its alphas. The series contains strong sexual themes and ménage romance, and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

About the Author:  I spent the better part of my childhood in a small town in the Appalachian mountains. Although I moved to the big city, there will always be a part of me that wants to run barefoot through the forest and hop from stone to stone across a wide, clear river.

I have always been a dreamer, and may have meandered through life in a daze, had I not been diagnosed with leukemia at age twenty. I survived cancer, but the part of me that was willing to settle for idle fantasies did not. Galvanized, I decided to follow my dream of becoming an author. The results have been greater than anything I could have ever dreamed.

Whether you’re following your dreams, or you’re just trying your hardest to get through the day, I hope that just for a little while, I was able to take you to another world.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover is awesome :) and I love that it isn’t the same cover over and over as some serials and even some series do :)  Each is unique and beautiful :)

This part is probably my favorite so far.  Tons of action and conflict, and Caim is getting better and better.  I no longer want to slap him frequently :)  I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t ;)

Viola does an awesome job in her stories, and what I really love is she does an awesome job at wrapping up the end of each story where you know there is more, but things were accomplished and it is not like you run into a brick wall because you know the stop sign is coming.  Very masterfully done :)

I love this serial and I recommend the bundle to all my shifter loving friends :)  Awesome story that you shouldn’t miss :)

Netgalley Review - Sophia by D.B. Reynolds @DBReynoldsWrite (Vampires in America #4)

Sophia
Vampires in America #4
by D.B. Reynolds

Goodreads blurb:  The Pacific Northwest . . . home to lush forests and constant rain, to lumberjacks and computer geeks, especially those of the vampire kind.

Sophia, beautiful and deadly, has spent the last hundred years dancing her way through the balmy nights and hot-blooded men of South America. But when her Sire sends an urgent summons, Sophia rushes home to Vancouver only to find he has disappeared, leaving nothing behind but three dead vampires and a letter with Sophia’s name on it.

Colin Murphy, a former Navy SEAL, came to the Northwest seeking a quiet place to heal the scars earned in more than a decade at war. But when someone starts killing local vampires and torturing their mates, Colin takes on the mantle of a warrior once again as he sets out to find the killers and do whatever it takes to stop them, even if that means hunting with vampires.

Following her Sire’s trail of death to a small town in northern Washington, Sophia unexpectedly discovers the heat of a South American night in Colin’s arms. But all too soon Sophia and Colin find themselves in a race to uncover the killers before the next dead vampire is Sophia herself.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!!

***Received ebook from Belle Books for an honest review

The cover has recently had a makeover and it looks awesome :)  very sexy :)

Okay I loved this books as much as the first 3 :)  D.B. is an awesome writer :)  I can imagine being there with everything happening.  She is very descriptive.

I was excited because Cyn, Raphael, and his crew were all back in this book with a few new characters to love too (Sophia and Colin).  Of course there were bad guys and action galore :)  I never want to put these books down when I read them :)  Some things happened that made me yell Noooooo, but I won’t give it away.  What would be the fun of that ;) it is your journey to enjoy :)  Cyn is still head strong and getting into trouble and Raphael is trying to protect her from herself…lol  I didn’t like Sophia at first, but after she started interacting with Colin and you got back story, I liked her much better :)  She seemed more personable.  I thought she was uppity and wanted to slap her at first :) Colin is awesome, and I hope to see both of them again :)

I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who likes vampire romance and lots of action :)  Time to pick a new book to read :)…I’m thinking the next book in the series :)

No matter how beguiling the alphas are, Mila still isn't sure how she feels about procreating with them. But regardless of her feelings on motherhood, she soon finds out that she is just as much a slave to the thrall as her mates.

Claimed by the Alphas: Part Four is 14,000 words of werewolf/BBW romance. It is the fourth entry in the Claimed series, and contains strong sexual themes and ménage romance. It is a sequel and is not intended as a standalone episode.

The cover is another awesome one.  Is it sad I just realized that one of those wolves should be black?  Okay I’m a little slow…lol

Okay loved this section of the story, and I think I would definitely be irritated if I was waiting for more of the story after the ending here, but luckily I have it all :)

Fantastic addition to the series and this part is on mating thrall.  Some extra excitement mixed in with fights and danger.  I of course couldn’t put it down and lucky me kids are in bed and I didn’t have to :)  Do you hear that….beautiful silence :)  I really like Mila and the boys ;)

This is for ménage shifter lovers, and the whole serial is out, so no waiting to see what happens next :)

Audiobook GIVEAWAY - The Alpha's Mate by Jacqueline Rhoades @JRhoadesAuthor

Enter the Giveaway Below for an Audiobook :)

The Alpha’s Mate
The Wolvers #1
by Jacqueline Rhoades

Blurb:  Welcome to Rabbit Creek....

City girl Elizabeth Reynolds hopes to find peace and contentment in the small Appalachian town of Rabbit Creek. Okay, so the bucolic cottage she’s rented turns out to be a dilapidated cabin without phone service, but the people she meets are wonderful. Friendly and down to earth, they welcome her with open arms. It’s just like moving to Mayberry… if Andy and Aunt Bea were wolves.

Only an outsider would call them werewolves. They’re wolvers, a community of man/beasts that have lived in these hills since their ancestors emigrated from Scotland three hundred years ago. And that gorgeous Chief of Police, Marshall Goodman, the guy she met while covered in mud and wearing granny underpants? The one who sends her heart spinning? He’s their Alpha and his pack is under attack from outside forces. Elizabeth, being a sane and reasonable woman, wants no part of any of this, but if she refuses to risk her life and her heart, the people she’s grown to care about will lose everything and she’ll lose the one man she was born to love.

About the Author:  Jacqueline, known as Jackie to her friends, lives in rural southern Ohio with one lovable husband, one spoiled dog and one disinterested cat. She believes coffee is a food group and therefore necessary to survival. She always has a pot brewing. When not writing, she can usually be found with her nose in someone else's book or working in her garden. She also spends a great deal of time chasing deer and rabbits who apparently also like gardening.  Jackie loves hearing from her readers and is always willing to chat.

Wolver’s Gold
The Wolvers #5
by Jacqueline Rhoades

Goodreads Blurb:  Finding gold where you least expect it…

Lone wolf and Special Investigator for the ubiquitous Eugene Begley, Challenger McCall is sent to the town of Gold Gulch to take care of a problem that might involve the exposure of the wolver community. For McCall, it’s like stepping back in time - a hundred and fifty years back in time.

Gold Gulch is a tourist attraction where the wolvers take their work so seriously, they continue their Victorian lives long after the tourists have gone home. Much like their 19th century counterparts, the women are overworked and underpaid.

Rachel Kincaid is one such woman. Exercising the only power she holds, she has become a wolver oddity; a spinster who refuses to mate. Why would she, when she already has to take care of the short-staffed hotel, its restaurant and her ne’er-do-well father? Angry and bitter, Rachel decides she deserves a better hand than the one she’s been dealt and finds herself drawn to the handsome new sheriff, Challenger McCall. Why shouldn’t she, for once in her life, enjoy the same freedom as the Soiled Doves on the hill?

Things get complicated when Rachel's wolf awakens after a long sleep and the town's women seem to awaken along with it. Papa's gambling debts leave them on the brink; the pack is at risk; and the women rebel. Oh, and don't forget the murders. If ever a pack needed rescuing, Gold Gulch is it, but as the girls up at Daisy's Bouquet point out, - A smart woman needs to look after herself!

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

The cover is very steamy :)  I definitely like it :)

This story I really liked it.  Mila is learning how to manage the boys so to speak thanks to Lotus, but how long will it last.  This story was mostly trio drama…lol and not much else.  I can feel tension or something building though, and I can’t wait to read the next part where things sound like it might change yet again :)

Viola’s world is amazing and I want to learn more :)  I still want to slap Caim on occasion, but he is definitely growing on me :)

I recommend this series to my shifter lovin’ friends and don’t let the fact that it is a serial run you off because it is all out, so no waiting for the next part or buy the complete bundle :)
