Review @ZoeChantebooks - Tiger's Triumph by Zoe Chant (Veteran Shifters #4)

Tiger's Triumph
Veteran Shifters #4
by Zoe Chant

Goodreads blurb:  A woman who’s only ever wanted to be a mother…
A man who’s just starting to remember what family means...
And three children who need a home.

As a waitress and middle-aged divorcee, owl shifter Pauline has given up on her dreams of being a mother. But secretly, in the quiet depths of her heart, she still yearns for a family. So when her estranged cousin goes missing, she’s not about to turn her back on the three children left behind, even if they resist her efforts to help.

Tiger shifter Carlos has the ideal life—at least on the outside. After serving in the Marines, he went into the business world and made a fortune, enough to retire young and do whatever he pleases. But he’s starting to realize that money isn’t everything. The price of success was lonely luxury in the city, but he’d rather have a family to love and a forest to run in.

When Carlos travels to Glacier Park in search of the elusive ‘something more,’ he finds it unexpectedly in the eyes of a beautiful, determined waitress. He and Pauline are shocked by an intense connection they never thought they’d experience. But happily ever afters have to wait, as danger threatens her cousin’s children, and enemies from the past resurface with grudges to settle. Can all of them work together to win the day and build themselves a new family?

Tiger’s Triumph is a thrilling and heartwarming interracial romance featuring cute kids, gorgeous vistas, and a lot of sizzling passion. No cliffhangers!

About the Author:  Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, and no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I have bought this book because I loved it, and I own most of Zoe’s books!

The cover is gorgeous!

This is the 4th book in this series which is a spin-off series!  I highly recommend reading both series in order.  This for adults only due to the steamy content.

Pauline is trying to help her cousin’s kids.  Carlos has come for a visit to Glacier Park because he is looking for something, but he isn’t sure what.  He is intrigued by Belinda.  They have an adventure trying to look after the kids and discover they are mates.

Zoe Chant always does a great job creating the perfect mix of intrigue, danger, and romance.  As always, I couldn’t put the book down.  Zoe is one of my favorite authors!  I can’t wait to see what happens next at Glacier!

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who loves communities of shifters who have each other’s backs.  I definitely need more of this world!

Review @RebekahLPurdy - Legend of Me by Rebekah L. Purdy (Legend of Me #1)

Legend of Me
Legend of Me #1
by Rebekah L. Purdy

Goodreads blurb:  No one should ever go into the woods alone.

Brielle has grown up listening to tales of a beast that attacks humans, leaving behind only a scattering of bones and limbs. It’s probably the elders’ way of keeping little children in line, but it doesn’t explain her grisly premonitions of blood, claws, and severed heads.

But when Brielle finds a mangled body in the woods, she begins to wonder if the grim stories may actually be true. Soon, Lord Kenrick, Knight of the Crowhurst Order, arrives asking questions about the legendary monster. Brielle’s attraction to him is immediate and undeniable. She volunteers to help him search for clues to the creature’s existence, despite her suspicions about his timing.

As her seventeenth birthday approaches, Brielle’s nightmares worsen and more villagers go missing. If Brielle doesn’t figure out the connection between Kenrick, the beast, and her visions, more people will die. As Brielle falls deeper in love with Kenrick and deeper into the snares of the abominable beast, she’ll become part of a legend so great, no one will ever question its validity again.

About the Author:  I was born and raised in Michigan (just look for the giant mitten on the map—it’ll likely throw a snowball at you). I spent most of my time in Michigan, but while in the army got to call KS, SC, MO, and CA home for awhile as well.

As a kid my family moved around a lot. Try spending both your freshman and senior years at new schools (yeah, loads of fun). I could’ve changed my name to “new girl”.

I love writing for teens because those are the years I remember falling in love with most of my favorite books. Some of the authors I couldn’t put down were L.J. Smith, Christopher Pike, R.L. Stine, Richie Tankersley Cusick, Joan Lowery Nixon, Lois Duncan, amongst several others.

My husband and I have a large family. There are six kids total! So we have LOTS of fun on vacations (although hours on the road, cooped up in the Expedition is kind of stressful—although we pass the time with MAD LIBS and hoping no one gets carsick).

Some fun facts about me:

My first real crush was on Luke Skywalker (LOL—hey, I was like 8 years old and it came out before I was born).

I’m obsessed with several TV shows/Movies: The Vampire Diaries, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Sean of the Dead, The Sing Off, Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, True Blood, Being Human, Fact or Fake, and all the cake designing ones! Oh and all the spoof movies!

I still own all the books I bought as a kid/teen.

I have a hankering for chocolate (like all the time, seriously. If my arm was made of it I’d chew it off).

Celebrity crushes: Johnny Depp (woohoo), Taylor Lautner (okay, I know he’s kind of young for me), Ian Somerhalder (ooh, he’s just right. We’re the same age). Wow, this was like a Goldie Locks and the Three Bears moment. Johnny Depp too old, Taylor Lautner too young, Ian Somerhalder—JUST RIGHT.

In my spare time I like to write (obviously), read, sing, hang out with my kids, play with my animals, camp, play soccer, check my email (hehehe), watch football (go LIONS). I also love hanging out with my sister and hubby!

Look forward to chatting with everyone! And if you’re lucky, I’ll break out the opera voice and chase you around singing!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is pretty, but it doesn’t really let you know that this is a paranormal book.

This is a labeled as a YA book, but I would recommend that caution is used and that readers should be aware that there is blood and gore with people being ripped apart by the beast.  I’d say at least 16 and be mature enough to handle scenes. This is a new to me author and a new series.

Rebekah does a great job with making the scenes come alive with vivid descriptions.  The mystery and intrigue kept me going until the end.  There are murders, a beast, knights, wanderers, best friends, a nemesis, magic, and more!  It is an intriguing story line.  I’m intrigued to see where this series goes next!

I recommend to readers who like mystery, murder, mayhem, and a little romance!  I will be looking for the next book to see where the series goes!

Review @Terrybelle13 - Claiming her Leopard by Summer Donnelly (Shifter Special Forces #7)

Claiming her Leopard
Shifter Special Forces #7
by Summer Donnelly

Goodreads blurb:  First generation Shifter Special Forces warrior Nick Lowell came back from Vietnam a changed man. Unable to cope with both his injuries and his memories, he left his wife.

Dot Lowell has waited fifty years to find her mate. Living in limbo for so many years has given her a wealth of understanding of pain and humiliation. Now that she knows where her husband is, can she confront him and demand some answers? Or will he revert back to his Leopard form and hide from her for the rest of his life?

About the Author:  Reader Beware! Author believes in love at first sight, fairy tales, happily ever afters, insta-love, and happy endings.

Sweet, frothy romance between strong women finding their way in life and love and the men who capture their hearts.

Lots of emphasis on strong female friendships.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I bought this book, and I own the whole series so far!

The cover is gorgeous both man and beast!

This is the 7th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.  I highly recommend reading the whole series because it makes each story even better when you understand the world and characters.

This is Luna's grandmother Dot’s story.  Luna helped find where her grandfather is, and she has relayed this information to her grandmother who has come to find her wayward husband.  I love Summer’s book!  She makes you feel for her characters.  I cried for both Dot and Nick in this story.  Summer weaves a story that I couldn’t put down.  I connect with her characters and love where she takes me.  Dot and Nick’s reunion is hard, but they both try to see things from the other’s perspective which helps them move forward to their HEA.

I highly recommend to any shifter lover who loves veterans and HEAs!  I can’t wait to see whose story is next!

Review @Violet__Vaughn - Werewolf on Your Mind by V. Vaughn (Smokey Falls Wolves #3)

Werewolf on Your Mind
Smokey Falls Wolves #3
by V. Vaughn

Goodreads blurb:  When Alisha learned Juliet, her former college roommate, was a werewolf, she wasn’t afraid. She was intrigued. And now, months later, she’s obsessed with becoming one too. All she needs is a mate to change her, and she knows Juliet’s pack is where she can find one.

Luck is on Alisha’s side, and within hours of arriving in Smokey Falls, she meets her true mate, Jackson. But he isn’t the kind of man she'd imagined. Jackson is a feral werewolf firefighter who’d rather not deal with people, while Alisha is accustomed to a country-club lifestyle. True mate attraction doesn’t care, though, and it makes Alisha decide all Jackson needs is a little training. Too bad Jackson has other ideas.

About the Author:  V. Vaughn is the pen name for Violet Vaughn, a USA Today Bestselling author. Violet lives in New Hampshire and spends almost every day walking through the woods. She may have seen a bear once or twice....

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I will collect this series when I can!

This is the 3rd book in this series, and it is for adults only due to adult content.  I recommend reading the series in order because events from book 1 and 2 are mentioned, and the world is much more awesome as a whole when you read them in order together.

This is Alisha’s story.  When she attended her friend’s wedding, she saw how happy both of her friends really were with mates, and she wants that kind of love.  Alisha and Jackson are complete opposites, and this makes for an interesting story.  I love this pack, and each story gets better and better.  I can’t wait for more love at Smokey Falls because you never know what will happen next.

I highly recommend to any shifter fan especially if you love Violet’s work and HEA stories!  I couldn’t put it down until I finished it!
