Review @Terrybelle13 - A Home for her Hawk by Summer Donnelly (Shifter Special Forces #4)

A Home
for her Hawk
Shifter Special Forces #4
by Summer Donnelly

Goodreads blurb:  A single mom burned by love + a sexy hawk shifter with a life-altering injury = a love they can’t deny.

Where has living by the rules gotten Kimber Bromstadt? Waiting tables and living off the charity of others with her newborn son in a little yellow cabin in North Carolina.
Hawk shifter Daniel Donofrio is hiding out and healing on Maxwell Mountain. While trying to come to terms with an injury that cost him the freedom to soar without limits in the sky, he meets and is instantly attracted to the young single mom.
Can a man raised without affection find love in the arms of a woman burned by marriage? And as their attraction and sparks fly, will they find the strength to cope with a threat to their family?

This is a short, 20k word novella full of slightly grumpy shifter dudes and the women who love them.

About the Author:  Reader Beware! Author believes in love at first sight, fairy tales, happily ever afters, insta-love, and happy endings.

Sweet, frothy romance between strong women finding their way in life and love and the men who capture their hearts.

Lots of emphasis on strong female friendships.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I bought this book, and I own the whole series so far!

The cover is awesome!  I love birds of prey!

This is the 4th book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.  While not required, I would read all the books in order, so you know the world and the characters because it makes it more amazing!  This is a quick read and only about 75 pages long.

Kimber is Hunter’s sister, and she is a single mom.  She is feeling overwhelmed as a new mom and like she is a burden to their community.  Daniel has his own issues due to losing one of his eyes.  They both have emotional baggage, but they are drawn to each other.  This was a page turner, and I like the nice things that Daniel does for Kimber.  There is a little excitement, but it is most just them trying to get to know each other while working through their issues.  I related to Kimber being a single mom, and it felt real.  I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who wants a quick read about military shifters who need some happiness!  Awesome series!
