Review - Her Broken Bear by Summer Donnelly (Shifter Special Forces #2)

Her Broken Bear
Shifter Special Forces #2
by Summer Donnelly

Goodreads blurb:  Answering an emergency call from her best friend, twenty-eight-year-old Hadley Mills runs to Maxwell Mountains, North Carolina. There she meets Hunter, explosives expert and bear shifter. Hadley is able to heal Hunter's body, but his heart and mind are beyond her control.

Thirty-year-old Hunter Bromstad has a broken bear. Sent back from a battle with more internal scars than a man should carry, Hunter can't control his bear. But when he falls in love with a nurse practitioner, his life is turned upside down. Can he learn to control his bear? What about the years of service he still owes the government?

And when a fire breaks out on Maxwell Mountain, will he and Hadley be able to survive the fallout?

About the Author:  Reader Beware! Author believes in love at first sight, fairy tales, happily ever afters, insta-love, and happy endings.

Sweet, frothy romance between strong women finding their way in life and love and the men who capture their hearts.

Lots of emphasis on strong female friendships.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  I bought this book because it intrigued me, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is awesome!

This is the 2nd book in this series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.  I highly recommend reading this series in order because the world and characters are so much more when you have all of the perspective.  This is also a novella about 80 pages long.

Hadley is in called in for an emergency by Lacey.  She learns some new things, but she also has a way with Hunter where she is able to calm him.  There is plenty of action and bravery in this book too which is more to my style!  There is also some internal battles going on with both Hunter and Hadley that they have to work through.  I loved this story, and I admire Cree for everything he has done for both Quinn and Hunter…not the fighting!

I highly recommend to any shifter fans who love veterans!  I really love this world and can’t wait for more!
