Review @VampWereZombie - Belle and the Beast by Rebekah R. Ganiere (Fairelle #5)

Belle and the Beast
Fairelle #5
by Rebekah R. Ganiere

Goodreads blurb:  She's running from her past. All he wants is to remember his. Together they could build a future - if they will just give in to their hearts.

Belle has spent years being abused by Klaus. But no more. Grabbing her little girl Chloe, she flees into the night, praying to find safety for herself and her daughter.

Werebear Dax had spent years tirelessly searching for the memories taken from him. Back in the castle where he was once held prisoner and tortured, he has all but lost hope. Until the moment he hears a child's scream in the woods and his entire world changes. In an effort to keep Chloe and Belle safe the group flees through a magick mirror and ending up in the one place Dax feared he'd never see again. His home.

As Dax's old and new lives collide he is caught between his duty, and his heart. And Belle must decide which she wants more, to protect her daughter, or stay with the man who has threaded his way into her very soul.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I have bought my own copy of this book and most of this series!

The cover is beautiful and has a hint of being magical!

This is the 5th book in the series, but there are also 2 novellas.  This is for adults only due to the violence, kidnapping, torture, and steamy content.  While it is not mandatory to read the stories in order, it does add something to each book if you know the characters because you learn to love them all!

I couldn’t put this book down.  I love Belle and Chloe.  I love how protective and loving Belle is to her daughter.  It is something that seems to be more rare in the real world where a parent puts their children’s safety and security first.  It resonated with me as a single parent.  I love this world full of different kinds of magic, prophecies, love, shifters, dragons, fae, vampires, humans, daemons, and more that make this world exciting and make me want to keep visiting it.  I also want to see Morgana go down for everything she has done and see Fairelle united and happy.  I loved watching Belle and Dax grow together and fall in love!  I can’t wait to see what happens as Chloe grows up!  The possibilities keep rolling around in my head!  I love this world and can’t wait to read more!

I highly recommend to any paranormal fans who love exciting worlds packed with adventure, danger, and love!

Review @ChristineAmsden - The Seer's Fate by Christine Amsden (Cassie Scot novella)

The Seer's Fate
Cassie Scot Novella
by Christine Amsden

Goodreads Blurb:  She can see the future, but she can’t escape it…

Danielle Hastings has lived countless possible futures, and getting involved with Adam Scot always ends in heartbreak. The gift of foresight has led her to one solid conclusion: avoid Adam at all costs. But when she sees a tornado tearing through downtown Eagle Rock – and Adam helping her save dozens of lives – she knows she has no choice.

Adam lives a charmed life; thanks to his powerful gift of charisma, everyone has a hard time saying no to him. Everyone, that is, except Danielle. Adam is determined to break through her shell…until he finds out the real reason she’s avoiding him. But by the time he realizes there’s no hope for a future for them, he’s in too deep to back out.

It seems there’s only one question the fates haven’t already answered: Will he break her heart, or will she break his?

About the Author:  Christine Amsden has been writing fantasy and science fiction for as long as she can remember. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and relationships, and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone.

At the age of 16, Christine was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a condition that effects the retina and causes a loss of central vision. She is now legally blind, but has not let this slow her down or get in the way of her dreams. In addition to writing, Christine teaches workshops on writing at Savvy Authors. She also does some freelance editing work. Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I bought my own copy of this book too!

This is a novella in the Cassie Scot series!  It isn’t numbered, but I am currently thinking of it as book 8.  I highly recommend reading the series in order because you want to know the history and stuff that has happened to characters throughout the journey especially Cassie because she is my favorite!  This is a series for adults.

This book is intriguing in many ways.  It is about Danielle and her ability to see possible futures.  She always keeps people at a distance because she thinks they always leave or hurt her.  I can see her predicament of why let people in when they will hurt her, but then she is only leaving herself a path to loneliness.  She takes a lot of pressure upon herself thinking she must save everyone.  Adam is one of Cassie’s siblings, and he and Danielle are drawn to each other.  They both have a lot of growing up to do.  They both have their eyes opened by Adam’s siblings.  Cassie made a cameo appearance to help Danielle.  I hope we get to know more of Adam and Danielle’s story, and that they figure it out together!

Christine is a talented writer, and I love reading her stories.  I always love losing myself in Cassie Scot’s world where magic is possible!  I can’t wait to see what Christine cooks up next!

I highly recommend to any paranormal fans who love the Cassie Scot world and would like a novella about Cassie’s brother Adam!

Review @ZoeChantebooks - Tropical Leopard's Longing by Zoe Chant (Shifting Sands Resort #8)

Tropical Leopard's
Longing
Shifting Sands Resort #8
by Zoe Chant

Goodreads blurb:  Her marriage of convenience isn’t as convenient as she hoped...

Snow leopard shifter and heiress Darla Grant thought that marrying her best friend would be the solution to all of her problems: it would shelter her from a persistent and unwelcome suitor, unlock her inheritance to save the bankrupt shifter retirement home where she volunteers, and free her from her controlling society mother.

Then she meets her fated mate at the tropical luxury resort reserved for her wedding, and her perfect plan turns into perfect torture.

Leopard shifter and waiter Breck is everything her mother despises: poor, common, and openly bisexual. No matter that he’s also charming, funny, and kind—even if Darla could switch grooms, her mother would never give her blessing to the match and the suitor she was trying to escape isn’t going to give up her fortune without a fight.

But there’s more to Breck than a ready smile and thoughtful service.

And he’s always been up for a challenge…

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I buy most of Zoe Chant’s books because I love her HEAs and her style of writing!  I will be buying this one too when I can!

The cover is beautiful!

This is the 8th book in the series, and it is Breck’s story!!  This is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.  While not required to read in order, it does make it so much more when you know all the characters and how they all relate to each other and their combined histories.

Breck is always there for everyone, and he always want to help everyone be happy.  He gives everything he has emotionally to everyone else, and it is starting to wear on him.  I connected with Breck because I understand that weariness when you keep giving and taking care of everyone else and no one does the same for you.  He meets his mate, and she is the bride in the big wedding.  All sorts of drama and chaos comes with them discovering they are mates.  With some help from all their friends, they figure it all out in the end!

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who love HEAs, mates, and resorts for shifters!!

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I will collect this series when it is complete!

This is the 2nd part in a new serial that is a spin-off from Called by the Bear and is about their children.  It is for adults only due to content.  This is a serial, and it means this is a part of the whole and not a whole book.  If you do not like cliffhangers, you may want to wait until the serial is complete.

This story is told from several viewpoints and is the continuation of part 1.  Audrey gets magic which she is happy about because she thought she didn’t have any.  Madison and Josie are bonding and realize they have more in common after some trouble at a party.  Madison has found her mate.  I can’t figure out if Josie is going to be good or bad in the end.  Max is confused, and he is probably getting into some trouble.  Audrey is still working on trying to locate her brother.   There is lots of stuff happening at the same time, and I still have no idea which direction everyone will go.  I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I recommend to bear shifter fans who enjoy serials and don’t mind cliffhangers while this serial is not complete!!
