Review @ChristineAmsden - The Seer's Fate by Christine Amsden (Cassie Scot novella)

The Seer's Fate
Cassie Scot Novella
by Christine Amsden

Goodreads Blurb:  She can see the future, but she can’t escape it…

Danielle Hastings has lived countless possible futures, and getting involved with Adam Scot always ends in heartbreak. The gift of foresight has led her to one solid conclusion: avoid Adam at all costs. But when she sees a tornado tearing through downtown Eagle Rock – and Adam helping her save dozens of lives – she knows she has no choice.

Adam lives a charmed life; thanks to his powerful gift of charisma, everyone has a hard time saying no to him. Everyone, that is, except Danielle. Adam is determined to break through her shell…until he finds out the real reason she’s avoiding him. But by the time he realizes there’s no hope for a future for them, he’s in too deep to back out.

It seems there’s only one question the fates haven’t already answered: Will he break her heart, or will she break his?

About the Author:  Christine Amsden has been writing fantasy and science fiction for as long as she can remember. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and relationships, and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone.

At the age of 16, Christine was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a condition that effects the retina and causes a loss of central vision. She is now legally blind, but has not let this slow her down or get in the way of her dreams. In addition to writing, Christine teaches workshops on writing at Savvy Authors. She also does some freelance editing work. Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I bought my own copy of this book too!

This is a novella in the Cassie Scot series!  It isn’t numbered, but I am currently thinking of it as book 8.  I highly recommend reading the series in order because you want to know the history and stuff that has happened to characters throughout the journey especially Cassie because she is my favorite!  This is a series for adults.

This book is intriguing in many ways.  It is about Danielle and her ability to see possible futures.  She always keeps people at a distance because she thinks they always leave or hurt her.  I can see her predicament of why let people in when they will hurt her, but then she is only leaving herself a path to loneliness.  She takes a lot of pressure upon herself thinking she must save everyone.  Adam is one of Cassie’s siblings, and he and Danielle are drawn to each other.  They both have a lot of growing up to do.  They both have their eyes opened by Adam’s siblings.  Cassie made a cameo appearance to help Danielle.  I hope we get to know more of Adam and Danielle’s story, and that they figure it out together!

Christine is a talented writer, and I love reading her stories.  I always love losing myself in Cassie Scot’s world where magic is possible!  I can’t wait to see what Christine cooks up next!

I highly recommend to any paranormal fans who love the Cassie Scot world and would like a novella about Cassie’s brother Adam!
