Review @CassidyWrites - Soldier by Cass Reynolds (Emerald Isle Tigers#2)

Soldier
Emerald Isle Tigers #2
by Cass Reynolds

Goodreads blurb:  Sexy soldier shifter Chase never thought his fated mate would be a girl like Mercy. She’s a cold-hearted, bloodthirsty assassin… who just happens to inspire his wildest fantasies every moment she’s in eyesight. Add a threat to her life, an overzealous guardian angel, and her murderous inclinations to the mix and Chase is basically screwed.

Mercy doesn't let anyone get close, especially not sexy tiger shifters who seem too good to be true. She makes her own way in the world, and though she might need Chase’s help, she certainly doesn't want anything else from him. Well, maybe a night in his bed… As long as he knows that she’s not able to give him anything more than that, an age-old heartbreak leaving her incapable of love.

As Chase and Mercy struggle to survive while resisting the undeniable heat between them, their beliefs will be tested. Nothing can be accomplished without trust, and trust means letting another person in, no matter how scarred your heart might be...

The cover definitely fits in with the others and tigers are just beautiful :)

This is the 2nd book in the novella series.  It is for adults only due to the steamy content, and it has tiger shifters….YAY!!!

This is Chase and Mercy’s story.  Chase is a charge in and rescue kind of guy.  Mercy throws him off balance or enchants him I guess you could say.  Mercy is unusual, and I’m not sure what to think of her or her angel.  This story has plenty of action to keep you intrigued.  A great read!  I definitely can’t wait to read the next story!

I recommend this series to the tiger shifter fans out there because you will definitely like this series!

Review @CassidyWrites - Scoundrel by Cass Reynolds (Emerald Isle Tigers#1)

Scoundrel
Emerald Isle Tigers #1
by Cass Reynolds

Goodreads blurb:  Wicked Draven is the last man in the world Diana should be fantasizing about. The cocky tiger shifter is arrogant, unscrupulous, and sometimes cruel. He’s also the only one who can help her rescue her brother from his death sentence. Just one more reason why she shouldn't be imagining his lips on her neck, her body wrapped around his in the heat of passion…

Draven isn't the kind of man that allows himself to be manipulated by anything -- not even fate. When he lays eyes on Diana and his mating instincts fire off wildly, he pushes his tiger’s desires aside and concentrates on his goal: free the brother, get the all-too-tempting female out of his life for good. The last thing he needs in his life is a new weakness, and uptight, morally upstanding Diana can be nothing but…

Thrown together in an impossible race against time, Draven and Diana will have to navigate the choppy waters between them as they try to save a man’s life. Will their explosive chemistry lead to a soul-deep connection, or will it just distract them from their mission?

Are Diana and Draven too stubborn to give in, or will the mating curse ultimately bring them together?

The cover is beautiful and intriguing!

This is the first novella in this series.  It is about 67 pages and is for adults only due to the steamy content.

This world created by Cass is very intriguing and yet still a mystery to me because I have so many questions yet to be answered.  As most know I love my PNRs, especially of the shifter variety, so the tiger shifters are right up my alley.  I loved reading this book, but it was over much too soon.  This could have easily been a full novel and would have developed and shared more of the world with us.  This is not to say that there is anything wrong with this story, I just wanted more because I liked it so much.

This is Draven and Diana’s story.  Draven is a bad boy, but he has heart that he likes to keep hidden.  Diana is loyal and spirited.  They make quite the match.  I can’t wait to read her brother Chase’s story because I’m definitely intrigued by what the ending hinted at.

I recommend this story to all my shifter friends especially if you love tigers!

Review @ariapeyton - Christmas Wishes by Aria Peyton

Christmas Wishes
by Aria Peyton

Goodreads blurb:  Kevin is one of Santa's elves, but he's not happy. Outcast from normal elven life due to a birth defect, Kevin spends most of his time alone. And Christmas is the worst. This Christmas though, all he wants is someone to spend it with.

Squeak is a mouse shifter and constantly relied on by her family to fetch food. When she gets lost in a storm and takes refuge in an empty warehouse, the last thing she expects is the kindness of a sad elf.

They each wish for something more for their lives. Will they get their Christmas Wishes?

About the Author:  I've been a covert operative in a foreign country, jumped out of helicopters for fun, and bungee jumped over the side of a Styrofoam factory into a vat of beans made for beanbags. I can also leap Lego towers in a single bound, pack school lunches like a boss, and burn myself on any hot surface. My multiskilling is out of this world and I successfully masquerade as an average parent 24/7. Do not be fooled by my mediocrity. To do so is at your own peril. Also, don’t believe everything you read!

***This was a freebie that I picked up

The cover definitely is true to the story!

This is a Christmas short story!  It is for adults only due to the steamy scenes.  It is a quick fun read.  Aria is very creative because I would have never thought of an elf and a mouse shifter together.  The mouse shifter is unique from other stories, but I don’t want to ruin the adventure for anyone.

I definitely recommend everyone pick up this story for a fun adult read for when you can’t read a full novel!

Review @valeromance - Burn Baby Burn by Catherine Vale

Burn Baby Burn
by Catherine Vale

Goodreads blurb:  When the curvy dragon shifter suddenly loses her ability to fly, and finds herself hurtling to the ground, Adalyn must admit, she's one hot mess. Unable to escape the city without wings, she goes on the war path to find out exactly who is responsible for her inability to shift.

A few hours later, she finds herself drowning her sorrows at the local watering hole. What's a girl to do when she has nowhere to go, and no one to call for help? She falls into bed with the sexiest man in town, of course. Except the guy isn't exactly able to help considering his reckless behavior is the reason why she can’t leave.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned…

All hell is about to break lose when Adalyn finds herself stuck in a rather unusual predicament. If she wants her shifting ability restored, she must help her new partner pick up a package and deliver it to the Order Of Protection.

Sounds pretty easy, right? Except the package is a baby, and her partner, well… he’s a whole other problem.

What happens when two stubborn, wildly passion dragon shifters are forced to work together? For Adalyn it’s simple; complete the mission, and get the hell out of town. But you know what they say about the best laid plans...

About the Author:  Catherine Vale has been writing fiction for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until she wrote her very first paranormal romance story that she found herself hooked on the raw, edgy love affair of shifters, vampires and other dominant alpha males and the captivating women that love them.

Catherine Vale writes both contemporary and paranormal romance for readers who are willing to take a walk on the wild side of love.  Her stories always include powerful alpha males, smart and sassy heroines and a happily-ever-after (even if she often put her characters through hell to get there!)

The cover is very hot quite literally, and I like the effect!

This is a standalone dragon shifter book, so you can read it anytime.  It is of course for adults only due to the steamy content.

Adalyn is a fiery dragon shifter whose curiosity causes quite the predicament.  She is a female with spirit, and I love her feisty personality.  Christian is your typical bad boy.  Initially, you aren’t sure whether you should love him or smack him, but he found a place in my heart.

Catherine Vale always creates beautiful stories.  Her creativity and imagination amaze me.  I always know I will enjoy her stories.  The ending for me was anti-climatic, but I think that’s because I was imagining other possibilities.

I recommend this fabulous story to any dragon shifter fans because you will enjoy this story :)

Fledgling NEW 1800x2700
When Jaevid Broadfeather is given the rare opportunity to become a dragonrider for the king’s army, the 15-year-old boy has no idea that he is part of a conspiracy that will rock the very foundations of the kingdom.
Jaevid Broadfeather has grown up as a wartime refugee, hiding from the world because of his mixed racial heritage. He feels his future is hopeless, until a chance encounter with a wild dragon lands him in Blybrig Academy—a place usually forbidden to anyone but the rich and royal. But Jaevid’s case is special; no dragon has voluntarily chosen a rider in decades, so the proud riders of Blybrig must begrudgingly let him join their brotherhood despite his bloodline. Lieutenant Sile Derrick, a sternly tempered man with a mysterious past, becomes his instructor and immediately takes a peculiar interest in Jaevid’s future.
While struggling through the rigorous physical demands of training, things begin to go awry. Jaevid witnesses the king’s private guards kidnapping Sile in the dead of night. When none of the elder riders are willing to help him, Jaevid begins a dangerous adventure to save his instructor.
Everything Jaevid learned at the academy will now be put to the ultimate test.

Avian NEW 1800x2700
Jaevid wants to pass his Avian year of training . . . but will he even survive it?
What kind of power is lurking inside him? After a year of training to become a dragonrider, Jaevid Broadfeather has been sent home to rest during a three-month interlude. But when he returns to find the king drake has chosen Beckah Derrick as his new rider, Jaevid realizes something big is about to happen. Every fiber of his being is pushed to the breaking point as Jaevid battles through his avian year, preparing for the final graduation test of the battle scenario. But there is more standing in his way than a few pushups and fancy sword moves. Jaevid must face a new fear as he is tormented by a gruesome nightmare of a mysterious gray elf warrior murdering the royal family of Maldobar. It seems obvious to him that this is some kind of message about how the war started long ago—until Felix assures him the king is very much alive. With his strange powers growing stronger by the day, and that violent dream replaying in his mind every night, Jaevid no longer wonders if he will pass his avian year or not—he wonders if he will even survive it.
The truth will soon be set loose.

Shifter Planet
by D.B. Reynolds

Goodreads blurb:  Specialist Amanda Sumner is one of the first to make contact on the Earth-like planet Harp and discovers she's the only Earthling, who can hear the trees sing in the strange forest. Determined to remain and learn more of the planet’s secrets, Amanda sets out to become part of the elite Guild there...

But there is a secret involving some Guild members–one that could get her killed.

Shifter Rhodry de Mendoza wants the Earthlings off his planet before they destroy it—even if that means denying what he feels for the fierce and lovely Amanda. The pair is thrown together in what becomes a fight for their lives. And they might just lose everything–including each other–in their battle for the right to live in peace.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!

***Received ebook for an honest review from Netgalley

The cover is beautiful and intriguing, and it definitely made me want to read!!

This is a new world by D.B. Reynolds, and I am hoping that there will be a lot more of this planet.  I am always completely amazed by D.B.’s creativity in creating her worlds not to mention the complexity she puts into them.  She puts words together in a way that enthralls you and pulls you right into the story.  I couldn’t put it down.

Rhodi is the typical Alpha male who wants everything his way and thinks only shifters can handle the Green.  Amanda comes and throws him for a loop.  She is stubborn and amazing!  She is a very strong female lead that makes want to be like her.  I loved this story, the world, and the characters.

I love everything by D.B. Reynolds!  I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves shifters and if you have ever read and loved D.B.’s work (and if you haven’t what are you waiting for!!)  I really hope that this becomes a series of some type because I want more!!!
