And he’ll find out who she is and what she really wants once he uses his power to get inside her head. But Piers has no idea that Roz is immune to his mind-control...or that he is simply a pawn in her dangerous mission for freedom.

The cover I totally love because it all works really well, but I am partial to animals :)  so the beautiful horse and scenery attracts me to the book.

The author’s writing style made is easy to get sucked right into the story.  She had me from the first chapter.  The nymphs are mythology based, but Danica has her own twists that I really like.  I don’t want to read the same thing over and over.  I love that the nymphs are different kinds of shifters.  This is definitely a book meant for adults.

This story is about Aura, and I really love her character.  She is very caring and stands up for what she believes in.  She doesn’t tolerate cruelty.  She is trying to find her missing sister.  This story has everything to keep you interested murder mystery, missing persons, family drama, investigations, suspects trying to get away, and throw in animal action on the mountain.

Oh and I forgot to mention I couldn't put this book down :) I read it straight through until the end :)

I definitely recommend to this story to any adult who likes mythology and paranormal romance.  I can’t wait to start book 3 :) YAY!!!  Look for the review on November 15th :)

I picked this book up for free a few days ago when Skye wrote a guest post for my blog.

The cover is just beautiful :)

It was a short read at about 34 pages, so I squeezed it in.  This is a coming of age story and definitely YA appropriate.  The teen angst and drama was very high school making it believable, but the poltergeisting had me laughing even though poor Summer was freaking out.  Summer is sort of all over the place like a typical high school student where she is confident one moment and freaking out about nothing the next moment.  I’m not a short story person, but this story was great :)  Watching how Summer deals with her poltergeisting is quite amusing :) I will definitely be checking out Skye’s new book when it comes out in December 2013.

I recommend this story to all those who enjoy YA paranormal genre with a little YA romance thrown in!

The cover is pretty with the Greek ruins in the back ground but doesn’t do anything for me.

Okay, the story is wonderful written with tragic back stories for the main characters Beau and Ariadne.  This story is a great start to a series, but it was slow here and there.  This happens sometimes in new series to building its world.  Beau is sort of a diamond in the rough kind of man.  He has very admirable traits, but they are hidden because he tends to be selfish.  All he wants is to be respected by his colleagues and make a name for himself.  Ariadne is more of a puzzle because she lets people walk all over her….her sister and Stavros.  It is like she is hiding from life and true love.

I love mythology and this story’s twist into mythology.  Everyone knows I love paranormal romance :)  It is my favorite genre.  This story has a little bit of everything…a goddess, a curse, death, nymphs, a temple, ceremonies, snakes, a dead body, a labyrinth and much more.  If this intrigues you, then you should definitely read this book :)  I can’t wait to start book 2.

High School Advice #13 & FREE ebook - Have you encountered a Power Vampire? Skye Genaro, author of Supernatural Summer

I have another fabulous guest post with more awesome high school advice.  As always you can catch up on what you missed at the end of the post :)  If you have something you want to share too, contact me :)

On to the awesomeness that is Skye........

When Cassandra invited me to write for her blog, I knew right away what I wanted to write about. Power. Not the Friday Night Smackdown Wrestling type, or the Wall Street Greedfest kind. Not even the babe-a-licious seductive power that we swear our crush has over us (which is why we can't focus when he or she is in the same room!)

What has the power to make us feel like royalty, or like the village idiot, depending on how it's delivered? Criticism.

No matter what we do, or how hard we try, we all face criticism from time to time. Over the years, I've learned that criticism usually falls into one of three categories. And, you can learn a lot about a person by how they typically share feedback with you.

The three kinds are:
• Helpful, delivered in a positive way.
• Helpful, delivered in a negative way.
• Downright dirty and malicious

We all prefer the first kind, the constructive feedback delivered by a caring, knowledgeable person in a way that makes us feel good, even if our work stinks. This person gives us a chance to walk away from our failure with our ego intact. The loss still hurts, but this bad news often comes with tips for improvement. We understand why our stage performance tanked, or why we got cut from the team. It's hard to hear criticism but try to keep your ears open. This person might be offering a tip that will make all the difference the next time you try to achieve your goal.

The second kind of criticism is harder to hear. Too often, it comes from people we love or respect, but by the time they are finished talking, we feel worse than when they started! We can chalk it up to lousy communication skills, or a negative attitude on their part. In the end it doesn't matter. We are often left feeling disempowered. Try to realize that they mean well, but may not have learned how to give quality criticism. Or maybe they don’t care enough to try. Whatever the case, look for any tips in the feedback, and remember they're probably trying to help.

Ranters, Ragers, and Power Vampires. You know who these people are. They try to suck away our personal power by attacking our character. We've all heard them, and the ugly things that come out of their mouths: "You played like $@%$!" "Are you blind?" "Only an idiot would have done it that way!" It's hard to come away from this type of criticism with a sense of pride or self-esteem intact. It might help to remember that power vampires often act this way because they've been disempowered for much of their lives.

Once you recognize the different types of criticism, you're in a better position to field it when it comes your way. When you understand where the other person is coming from, it makes it easier to decide how—and if—you want their words to affect you. That choice gives you power.

Summary:
How can love mend a heart full of hate?

Small town girl, Molly Bennett, moves to Los Angeles where she becomes an outsider while attending Beverly Hills High School. It seems life cannot be any more dreadful. Then one day after school, something magical happens. On a secluded hike in the Hollywood Hills, Molly chases her disobedient mutt and only friend into a hidden cavern. She stumbles upon a strange glimmering gateway that transports her to Arkana, a planet that is the cradle of an advanced human race. There, teenagers navigate amazing flying vehicles, compete in perilous games for glory, and possess supernatural powers. While Molly tries to wrap her mind around this unbelievable discovery, she meets the alluring and mysterious Victor Sorren. He is a Sentinel Apprentice, whose hatred toward people from Earth is beyond understanding. Yet every time Victor unpredictably saves Molly's life, his heart draws closer to hers, no matter how much he tries to fight against it. It further complicates things that their growing friendship is strictly forbidden. Earth people are prohibited in Arkana, yet Molly continues to cross through the portal to Arkana to see Victor. Torn between their double lives, they go down a dangerous path, from where there is no return and multiple endings.

Fields of Elysium is a suspenseful romantic tale full of forbidden secrets, danger, deception, and the never-ending fight for true love.

I'm a Hungarian born American writer, who was lucky enough to travel Europe, Africa, and The Middle East and live in Ecuador, Crete and Italy. I graduated as a computer engineer, thus if anybody tells you math and literature can't walk hand in hand, don't believe them. *smile*

I'm the author of the Fields of Elysium saga, which I like to call a young adult romantic fantasy. The first book of the series was inspired by amazing movies like Dirty Dancing, Avatar, and Twilight and earned praise from prestigious review companies and readers. I'm currently working on book three and four, and planning to write two more novellas to finish the series, dedicated to two very interesting characters in my story, Victor Sorren, the byronic hero, and The Prophet, the mysterious leader of the Arkanians.
