NEW RELEASE Review - @LRWLee - Lullaby by L.R.W. Lee (The Sand Maiden #1)

Lullaby
The Sand Maiden #1
by L.R.W. Lee

Goodreads blurb:  You've heard of the Sand Man. Meet his counterpart, the Sand Maiden.

Alissandra thrills to help her human charges make sense of thoughts that need refinement, problems that need solutions, worries that beg for action, and things they should or shouldn’t have said, as she weaves their dreams. She’s been doing it her entire immortal existence. But when the most powerful king in Dream realm sets his sights on her current charge, Prince Kovis Altairn, to exploit him in his quest to conquer Wake realm, Ali has no choice but to flee and pray the sovereign doesn’t hunt her down.

Prince Kovis Altairn, crown prince and the most powerful sorcerer in the Altairn Empire, knows nothing about Dream realm, let alone his sand maiden. So when Ali is discovered naked in his bedroom, how will she convince him of her intentions, as well as the danger?

"L.R.W. Lee brings an amazing new realm (literally!) to new adult fantasy. It's sure to please fans of sorcerers, princes, kickass fight scenes, epic magic, and dazzling romance. Did I mention this is all in one book?" - Rachel E. Carter, USA Today bestselling author

"I'm enthralled. The book has held me captive since I received it...You have me in the spot I love/hate. It's so good, and I want the next right now. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor woven in this story. A lovely conclusion to this--a nice tease. I want more!!!" - Peggy Frese, Senior Editor

The Sand Maiden is a NA Epic Fantasy Romance with YA appeal. If you loved Sarah J. Maas' A Court of Thorns and Roses, Elise Kova's Air Awakens, and/or Rachel E. Carter's The Black Mage you'll definitely love this.

WARNING: Mature content including sexual abuse. Recommended for 18+.

About the Author:  Since the age of eight, L. R. W. Lee wanted to write a children’s book, but felt she did not have anything significant to share; she sought to change lives while entertaining. A degree in Accounting did not provide riveting fodder for a best seller, so she waited. Over a decade, she founded and grew a company, during which, she worked closely with a mentor from whom she learned uncommon thinking that changed her life. After selling her business in early 2012, she had time to write and, more importantly, something significant to share.

L. R. W. Lee lives in scenic Austin, TX with her husband, daughter and son.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is perfect for this new world and intriguing!

This is the first book in a new series that is considered New Adult which means you should be at least 18 to read this series due to the mature content.

Wow, this book was intense and full of drama, intrigue, treachery, magic, and more!  This world is just as amazing as Andy Smithson’s world but more adult.  Ali is amazing, and she must endure so much.  Her strength and love are beautiful.  I can’t say the royal family is my favorite, but Kovis does redeem himself in my eyes at the end!

The author is a magical story teller, and her talent amazes me.  This was an emotional story that had me on a rollercoaster with Ali.  Be warned that the ending leaves you wanting for book 2 immediately!  I need to know what happens next.

I highly recommend to anyone who wants a magical story that has life’s messiness and makes for a wonderful tale of magical worlds and fantasy that really intrigues!
