Review - Erik by J.S. Striker (Band of Bears #1)

Erik
Band of Bears #1
by J.S. Striker

Goodreads blurb:  There are dark forces attacking Valley Joy, and it’s up to Erik O’Riley to protect the town from it. Towns aren’t really his thing—until he meets his next-door-neighbor, Charlotte Brandt. She’s a little spitfire who’s pleasant to the eyes and irritating to the ears, and she wants nothing to do with him.

And he wants everything to do with her. All night long.
It’s an inconvenience, really—one he doesn’t need. So Erik tries to fight the attraction. And he tries to solve the town problem. But when the dark forces loom close and Charlotte’s life is in danger, what starts out as a mission turns into something more as he fights to protect the life of the one woman he could never, ever lose…

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover is my favorite kind that has both handsome beasts on the cover.

I really liked this book!  I got this book free for signing up for the author’s newsletter I think.  This is going to be a series about the bears in Erik’s clan.  Erik is sexy and protective which is my favorite kind.  He is recruited by the sheriff to find out what is killing people and heading closer and closer to their town.  He meets his neighbor Charlotte who is all sorts of feisty and won’t be left behind when weird things start happening.  This makes things tricky because she is human and knows nothing about shifters.  It was an exciting, but short read.  I can’t wait to read more in this series and learn about this shifter world.

I recommend to any shifter fans who love strong protective bears!!
