based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this
book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
The
cover is very intriguing especially with the “Meow. Purr. Die. Repeat.” which
is what grabbed my attention.
This
is the first book in the series, and it is the first time I’ve read this
author. This is definitely an adult only
book due to the violence.
Kalayna
packs the details into her book which is awesome for making the story come
alive, but it is also a bit overwhelming because it was information overload
for me. I was also a bit lost in the
beginning because I didn’t know this world she is creating. I was wondering if there are other books set
in this world because I didn’t know what Firth was or the rules in this shifter
world.
I
really like Kita because she is a fighter, but she is also scared. She left her world because she couldn’t be
with who she loved. She is on a crazy
adventure with Hunters looking for her, Vampires that she is not sure what to
make of, an Old friend, Rogues, Mages, magic, murder, and mayhem galore. She tries to make her way in the world as it
keeps changing around her.
I
think this series will keep getting better especially as I learn more about the
world and get more in sync with Kita and her world. I think if you like complex paranormal worlds
with tons going on that you will enjoy this story because I know I did. I can’t wait to read the next book and see
how much better it gets!
