Review @valeromance - Taste of Darkness by Catherine Vale

Taste of Darkness
BBW Paranormal Vampire Romance
by Catherine Vale

Goodreads blurb:  Natalya should have known better than to watch the handsome fisherman from the shadows, but she found herself drawn to him, night after night. If she had only stayed away, he would not be suffering a life of eternal darkness. But she couldn’t stay way, and now it’s too late; he’s been turned into an abomination, a creature that will never again be free.

Natalya is all that Caine has left. He just doesn’t know it yet.

Natalya knows better than anyone what it’s like to have her world ripped out from under her, forced into the darkness, never to walk in the sun again. It wasn’t long ago when she was turned into a blood-sucking vamp, a ruthless killer. So when she finds herself to blame for an innocent human being turned, she knows that it’s up to her to save his life. But when Caine awakens to discover what he has become, will he ever be able to find his place in a world, where he just doesn’t fit in? And can he learn to forgive Natalya long enough to fight alongside her?

When a merciless pack of werewolves scent the newly created vamp, they will stop at nothing to destroy him, and everything he loves. Caine must learn to embrace his darkness, if he wishes to survive.

About the Author:  Catherine Vale has been writing fiction for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until she wrote her very first paranormal romance story that she found herself hooked on the raw, edgy love affair of shifters, vampires and other dominant alpha males and the captivating women that love them.

Catherine Vale writes both contemporary and paranormal romance for readers who are willing to take a walk on the wild side of love.  Her stories always include powerful alpha males, smart and sassy heroines and a happily-ever-after (even if she often put her characters through hell to get there!)

My Thoughts – 3 out of 5 Unicorns - I liked  it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!

The cover is pretty cool!  I like all of the elements!  It works!

This is a standalone vampire romance.  I found myself liking Natalya for her sticking her morals even though she may have started with some bumps in the road.  I really liked Caine.  I really thought Gabriel deserved to get what was coming to him, but he kind of redeemed himself toward the end.  This was definitely an interesting story with vampires and nequams.  I really enjoyed the story, and it was much more action packed toward the end.

Fans of Catherine’s will not want to miss her vampire story especially if you are a vamp lover.
