NEW RELEASE!!! Review @LRWLee - Battle for the Land’s Soul by L.R.W. Lee (Andy Smithson #7)

Battle for the Land’s Soul
Andy Smithson #7
by L.R.W. Lee

Goodreads blurb:  It's clear Abaddon, the evil shape shifting ruler of Hadession, Oomaldee's northern neighbor, must be dealt with if Oomaldee’s citizens are to ever live in peace. But how? What lengths will Andy have to go to in order to wage war against a being whose power stems from evil itself? Will Abaddon plunge the land into darkness or will light triumph?

Battle for the Land's Soul is the seventh and final novel in the Andy Smithson coming-of-age, epic fantasy adventure featuring page-turning action and terrifying villains. This truly is the age old struggle of good vs. evil, and the stakes couldn't be higher for the outcome will determine the Land's very future. Don't miss this epic conclusion!

About the Author:  Since the age of eight, L. R. W. Lee wanted to write a children’s book, but felt she did not have anything significant to share; she sought to change lives while entertaining. A degree in Accounting did not provide riveting fodder for a best seller, so she waited. Over a decade, she founded and grew a company, during which, she worked closely with a mentor from whom she learned uncommon thinking that changed her life. After selling her business in early 2012, she had time to write and, more importantly, something significant to share.

L. R. W. Lee lives in scenic Austin, TX with her husband, daughter and son.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover looks ominous and gets your attention!

This is the final book in the series, and I’m torn!  I love this series, and I’m not sure I like that there will be no more!  This is a YA series, and it deals with a lot of tough topics and has built in moral dilemmas and lessons.

When I was first introduced to this series, I was told it was for middle school students.  I don’t agree because I think any from middle school on can be pulled into Andy’s world and be better for.  In this crazy world we live in, kids need to see people make mistakes, learn from them, have morals, fight for what they believe in, and see that things are not perfect in any world because bad things happen to us and around us.  I love this book because Andy perseveres and has integrity which are both hard to show young people.  I think if kids don’t see struggle and that anything can be overcome especially together then how will they know.

I couldn’t book this book down!  I loved watching Andy grow in this series.  L.R.W. does a fantastic job bringing this world to life and integrating the morals and pain into the story.  Andy has been dealt many blows, and he struggles with loss.  But he doesn’t sit there and whine about the world being against him or that he can’t do something.  He respects others opinions even if he doesn’t agree, and he allows the people he loves to make their own choices even if he is worried for them.  I wish I were more eloquent to explain how amazing this series really is!

This series will always be one I recommend for its awesome moral compass and how L.R.W. makes the world come alive!  One day I will own this whole set in paperback for my classroom!
