Review @Violet__Vaughn - Lion Hearts Tiger by V. Vaughn (Heartland Shifters #1)

Lion Hearts Tiger
Heartland Shifters #1
by V. Vaughn

Goodreads blurb:  Who-- What am I?

When Lexi wakes up in a hospital room, she doesn't even know her own name. But she does know one thing, she'd like the hot guy hovering over her bed to stick around. As she fights to regain her memories, she's faced with a horrifying truth she doesn't want--she can shift into a huge lion. And if that's not enough of a shock, the sexy man who claims to be her mate can turn into a tiger.

Tristan is beside himself with worry over Lexi's amnesia. The woman he wants to marry doesn't recognize the love she has for him or the lion inside her. As he helps her heal physically and emotionally he battles with a secret he is afraid to reveal, because when the truth comes out he could lose her again. And this time it could be forever.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  When I can, I will collect this book!

This is the first book in a new series, and it is not a serial.  This is a whole book and about 200 pages long.  I like covers to reflect the characters, so I’m annoyed the lion in male because Lexi, who is the lion, is not male.

I really liked the characters in this book and town.  Lexi and Tristan are great together, but there is drama and turmoil throughout the book as Lexi struggles with figuring out who she is and who everyone else is too.  There is not much action, and I’m definitely an action girl.  It is a feel-good romance.

I recommend to shifter fans who love worlds filled with all sorts of shifters and want a feel-good romance.  I can’t wait to read Bruce’s story!

Review @ZoeChantebooks - Silver Dragon by Zoe Chant

Silver Dragon
by Zoe Chant

Goodreads blurb:  You're never too old for love...

Dragon knight Mikhail has spent the many years of his life in the pursuit of duty. But when his latest mission sends him to a sleepy California beach town, he's shocked to come across a murder in progress. And even more shocked to realize (after plummeting from the sky to save the day) that it's four older women in a writing group acting out a scene from a murder mystery.

But that's nothing to how he feels when the "murder victim" looks into his eyes... and he knows that the beautiful gray-haired woman is his mate.

Bird Worcester used to write children's books, before a bitter divorce separated her from her beloved son and daughter. Twenty-seven years later, she's still picking up the pieces. But when a handsome, silver-haired stranger literally drops into her life, she finds that her heart just might still be alive after all.

But years of lonely solitude and their very different lives aren't their only obstacles. There's also the little matter of Mikhail's dangerous mission...

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I buy most of Zoe Chant’s books because I love her HEAs and her style of writing!  I haven’t gotten this one yet, but I will!

The cover is awesome!  Love the Silver Dragon!

This currently is a standalone.  Bird and her friends are funny and awesome together.  I love how Mikhail crashes their pretend murder to save Bird.  It was a sweet story with some excitement, danger, and karma.  I enjoyed the story, and Zoe always has a way in her books where I’m just happy reading them.  It is what I love about her books.  She makes each one uniquely awesome, and I haven’t read one yet that I haven’t loved.  I can’t wait to read more!

I highly recommend this book and any of Zoe Chant’s shifter books because they are all amazing!

Review @donna_grant - Ignite by Donna Grant (Dark Kings #15)

Ignite
Dark Kings #15
by Donna Grant

Goodreads blurb:  Every inch of him was molded as if from granite...and her blood ran like fire...

For centuries, V has waited to awaken from his doomed sleep and reclaim his destiny. But this Dragon King--one among a legion of legendary warriors sworn to protect the human race from darkness--must first find a way to win back his sword. Wield its power. And try not to fall prey to his own illicit desires.

Claire may possess the beauty and soul of a goddess but V knows better than to mess with a mere mortal. Still, he instinctively knows that Claire is The One who can help him regain the use of his sword and restore his place at Dreagan. But if she learns the truth about who--and what--he really is, her memories of him would be erased forever. How can V love Claire truly, madly, deeply...and protect her from the forces of fire and darkness that could destroy them both?

Praise for the Dark Kings series:

"Provocative [and] sizzling."
--RT Book Reviews (4 stars)

"A must-read."

About the Author:  Donna Grant is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the sizzling Dark King series featuring dragons, immortal Highlanders, and the Fae.

She was born and raised in Texas but loves to travel. Her adventures have taken her throughout the United States as well as to Jamaica, Mexico, and Scotland. Growing up on the Texas/Louisiana border, Donna’s Cajun side of the family taught her the “spicy” side of life while her Texas roots gave her two-steppin’ and bareback riding.

Despite deadlines and voracious reading, Donna still manages to keep up with her two children, three cats, and a dog.

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I think I want to collect this series in paperback in the future!

This is the 15th book in this series, but there are also several spin-off series that are in this same timeline.  I recommend reading them all and in order if you can.  I haven’t read them all, but I’m trying to get them all.

Donna Grant does a fantastic job story telling and pulling you into the world and the characters’ lives.  I’m always rooting for the Kings, their mates, and their allies!  I want to see them happy!

You learn so many cool awesome things in this book that you don’t want to miss it!!  V. finds his mate and so much more, but I don’t want to give anything away!  There is lots of excitement, action, and treachery from their enemies.  It was an outstanding read!  I can’t wait to see what happens next!  There are still people who need mates and happiness as well as bad guys who need defeating!  I need to know what happens!!

I highly recommend to any dragon shifter fans who love complex paranormal worlds filled with magic and mates!  I love this series and Donna Grant’s writing!  I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Review @Violet__Vaughn - Called by the Bear: The Next Generation by V. Vaughn (Part #4)

Called by the Bear
The Next Generation
Part #4
by V. Vaughn

Goodreads blurb:  Josie is determined to find Max, and when she manages to enter Le Roux territory, she thinks she set. Unfortunately, no amount of training can prepare her for what she finds.

Madison is in love — true-mate style. She’s ready to take the next step on her journey with Trace. She meets his parents, dreams about the family and even comes to terms with the painful ceremony of changing. All she needs now is her new clan alpha, Marion Robichaux’s blessing…

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!  I will collect this series when it is complete!

This is the 4th part in a new serial that is a spin-off from Called by the Bear and is about their children.  It is for adults only due to content.  This is a serial, and it means this is a part of the whole and not a whole book.  It also means you need to read each part in order if you want to know what is happening.  If you do not like cliffhangers, you may want to wait until the serial is complete.

This story is told from several viewpoints.  It starts off where Part 3 ended with Max missing after going over the falls lots of drama and trouble.  While this is happening Josie shows up on the land, and she is causing some drama and trouble.  Madison is meeting the family and clan and learning about werebears with her mate.  This is my favorite part so far because there is so much going on.  I’m still not sure what to think about Josie and wonder where it will go.  I hope she comes around because the Eradicators are bad business all around.  The trouble is still brewing, and I can’t wait to see what happens with all of them next!

I highly recommend to all bear shifter fans especially if you are already a fan of this bear-tastic world created by Violet Vaughn!  If cliffhangers aren’t your thing, wait until the serial is complete, but it is worth the cliffhangers!
